Hoot Hoot

I made this owl for a new friend:

 

One of my friends had a baby recently and since she and I were in Swannanoa together at MC, I thought it was fitting to make her little girl an owl.  This was my first attempt and I didn't use a pattern, but I think it turned out pretty well.  Here's a view of the back:
